Good morning,
We have about 6-8 people that I know about interested in the beginner rides this season. I walked some of the trails at the Snow Bowl yesterday and they still need some time to dry up. Hopefully we won't see too much rain today. I'm planning on walking the trails tomorrow at 5:00 and I'll send a notice out if they still need time to dry out. I'll also look at the weather forecast and choose an alternate ride date if need be.
There is an intermediate ride at 5:30 on May 22nd at the Camden Hills State Park. Also be on the lookout for updates on the Bikesenjava forum http://haybikesenjava.proboards61.com/index.cgi as well as NEMBA's forums http://www.nemba.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=24.
Comments and feedback are always welcome. My goal is for everyone to simply have fun out on the trails. Please continue to pass the word about the beginner rides.
Thanks,
John

The beginners ride at the Snow Bowl is going to be re-scheduled for a later date this month. The trails still have some drying out to do. In the mean time, I am entertaining the thought of having an additional beginners ride at the Camden Hills State Park starting at the Lincolnville entrance as soon as we get a good weather window. While there is a fair amount of climbing involved, I have been informed that the trail there dries out a bit faster than most. I'll keep you posted. Here is the link to the trail map at the State Park which lists the multi use trails. http://mainegov-images.informe.org/doc/parks/parksinfo/camden/camdentrails.pdf

Thanks,
John
