I posted up this ride to a few boards, we ended up with 6 in the group - we kept a good pace. We didn't quite do the "full pull" on the ride, but we did a good 3.5 hours of riding on some really tough trails. Slider, Strangeland2, Woodsguy, Red Mosquito(BikeRag) and MCS(BikeRag) joined in on the carnage, I mean fun. The ride started off a bit slow with a few misdirections and 3 mechanicals, but we seemed to get that stuff out of the way early.

I wouldn't normally do the "stand in one place and take pictures of each person in the group" thing, but with larger groups it usually works out the best (or that's what I end up with in my camera after group rides).

Rock feature about 3/4's of the way through the ride:

All in all a great day of riding.

Great ride yesterday. I'm actually not sore today. I felt great playing tennis this morning. Anyway, I got about 40 minutes of video that I will pull pictures from and make a slide show. Stay tuned.

Yeah Im not feeling nearly as bad as I was expecting. Went and hiked up MT wachusett today (fortunately its not a very high mountain closer resembles a mole hill actually lol.) I only have pictures of the three mechanicals so no real need to post the pictures.

Great ride, nice 3 hour tour Skipper

The trails they started gettng rough, the six man crew was lost...

But only for the first 5 mins. Thinking about it, the trail head was further up the road from that fire road, not lower. I think Jisch will back me on that if he thinks about it.

Looking forward to those Woodsguy pix...

Below is the link to my slideshow. There is music so adjust your volume accordingly. If the music doesn't start immediately with the pics, close the window and try again (you may need to wait for all the pics to load before closing and restarting).

Very cool pix, from a different perspective than usual. You timed "here comes the crash" in the tune right to a log getoff. Nice.

One pic, of me I think, I can't figure out. Looks like a hard righthand slide, but I can't remember seeing you on any turns like that. Might have been preoccupied a bit, I guess...

Why? Are you tired of looking at people's butts? :) Yea, I've thought about that. I don't think it would work well on the helmet unless the trail is straight. What I need is someone on the back filming that the do at the TDF. :) I will try mounting it on my seat post tho. I also have plans to mount it on my Lefty and downtube as well. I considered messing around with the mounting options on this ride but every rest break I needed to catch my breath. Especially at first. I was hurting. After a while (a whhile - lol*) I felt pretty good tho.

*10 points to whoever can guess why I thought that was funny.

I saw you get that second wind. You were chasing Jisch on some of the later parts.

Nasty pace outta the box, or lotsa climbs like that, And I am sucking wind quick. I get some back later, but always pay the price at the end. Snip may be the only place we ride in eastern CT that doesn't have a steep up right out of the gate.
