So since i've become the advocate of Lake Saltonstall trails it got me thinking...why isn't it listed on NEMBA's "places to mtb in CT" page? i know for a long time bikes were NOT allowed. but as of last year they are. And it really IS a nice place to ride.
for that matter so is Branford Supply Pond.
Curious as to the process of listing them as places to visit.

Its up to you - put together a write up with pictures and send it to PK, he'll post it up, and I agree, there should be more places in there.

i'm not sure as a NOOB that my dialog would accurately do it justice. i don't quite have that "lingo" down. :o
but i got the photography covered and am willing to show someone around. :D

I wouldn't worry about it too much, better to have something rather than nothing right? If you check out http://nemba.org/ridingzone/places.html you'll see some of the summaries are older and rather in detail and "lingo" but a briefy summary, directions, and a suggested route go a long way in getting people to try new locations. I suppose you could always update it later if you feel you could add to your original work.

fair enough...i'm sure i could write up something for both places. however as a noob i really couldn't tell ya the % of difficulty. everything's difficult to a noob. :D

Is there a trail map of Lake Saltonstall and what trails allow mountain bikes? I've never been there, but I'm guessing there may be still trails which do not allow bikes? You'll want some time of a trail map for readers to reference along with your write-up, ideally.
Are there more technical trails than the ones you've posted pictures of? The pictures I remember seeing seem like mostly fireroads, but maybe I missed some. Not that it matters, just curious.
