One of my dogs had surgery on Friday for a luxating patella. (Kneecap wouldn't stay in place) Were looking at 3 to 4 months recovery. This is what she looked like when I picked her up today.

Well at least she is home now. No place like home for recovery and not to mention with the ones that love her.

My mutt had ACL surgery earlier this spring - he's got a scar just like that and is still limping around everywhere. :(

Geez, the med bill on that surgery and follow up could probably have bought a very nice freeride bike. Too bad we can't we put our mutts on our family medical plan. :^)
What we do for our pups. We just dropped $500 to remove/treat a puss sack on Metaxa's neck. Never did find out what caused it. Gotta love em though.

This was not ACL but a kneecap was was slipping out of place forcing her to walk on three legs. They detached the tendon that holds the kneecap in place and repositioned it on the bone to get the proper alignment. Now its got to fuse to the bone. As long as we don't screw up the recovery she should make a full recovery. Just getting out of the house in the morning for work just got real complicated.

So far I'm out about 1/2 of a 2008 Black Santa Cruz Heckler. (Ya I've been looking) And I still haven't got to the physical therapy yet. But to ease the pain, my pain, I traded in a Gibson Flying V last week for a 2008 Black Fender Jaguar. I will not go to the poor house quietly into the night.

Doing some "Old Blue" with the Fender will do you both some good.
She won't care if you're a little pitchy on the vocal.
