so ever since i shared that video of the 11 yo bmx'er, my son (age 7) has been motivated to play with his ramp again. i know i'm gonna need a full face helmet for him...but not sure where to look. i've gone to Foxracing just to start...and the price is pretty steep. is there a good place to find a helmet for him without spending a huge amount of money?

here's my boy trying to be Mr. Youtube Stunt man. :D

Jensonusa (http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/HE302G01-Bell+Bellistic+Helmet+08.aspx) has a Bell, full faced helmet that comes in Small for $70.00.

I also found this (http://www.motodirect.com/servlet/Detail?no=215) on-line at motodirect.com for $38.00.

I hear ya. It's worth it though.

Cool little video of your kid on the ramp.

I dont have any children however if I did I would take them to a shop and buy a helmet that I was sure they could try on to see if it fit properly and could be adjusted correctly. Small price to pay IMHO.

Me too. If you've got a shop around that's more BMX-ish, they'll likely have better prices than those that lean more toward road/mtb. Also, might want to check out something like a Dick's sporting goods. At that age, it's not so likely a kid is going to require high-end equipment.

Awesome video. "Once you know how to do it, you must take it to higher levels".

Yeah!

The kid knows, the kid knows....
