Borderland 03-29-08 video

Went for a casual little spin through the nice smooth trails of Borderland Park today with some clowns who had no skills at all.

Ok...I kid. The trails are not smooth, the guys who were nice enough to let a wannabe like me tag along were beyond cool, and mannnn they had some skillz.

I brought along the video camera and threw together a little vid.

Nice vid! Great ride, great crew! Gotta do that again soon... Oh, and in that last pic of Rich's post notice the knucklehead diligently "filming" chqm8 with the camera on the wrong setting. Man, sometimes I really can identify with the scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz...

Here's what I did to find out about the ride.

First, I joined NEMBA. (even though for some reason under my screenname it STILL reads: 'nemba member:no.' not sure why)

Second: I posted something on Wednesday (I think it was Wednesday anyway) asking if anyone was riding anywhere the upcoming weekend. I got lucky and one of the guys was nice enough to invite me along.

Sorry Mike, Didn't want to post the first ride of the year incase trail conditions were bad. I didn't want to get there and explain to any lurkers that joined the ride that we weren't riding because of trail conditions and especially didn't want folks just showing up and riding regardless of the conditions. so I emailed only my normal ride group and a couple folks that showed interest in riding because I knew I could control whether or not the ride occured or not.

I'm sure future rides at BLand will be posted as the trail appeared to be in excellent shape.

Thanks SloMo. I shed a tear when I saw the Santa Cruz Lineup picture sans Green. I think it was missing the green.
