Does anyone know what is in the works for the dam at Aaron Resevoir? Last fall, the actual dam was cleared of trees and I noticed Saturday that a road is cleared into the area from the river and power lines below (R2). The approach trail to the right of the power lines is so much fun and then I always feel the disappointment coming out into the open of the cleared trees. Real reconstruction of the dam would really isolate the R section of the park.
This might not even be news, but I just noticed it. Sometimes it pays to slow down. No complaints here, just looking for local knowledge.

Wompy's Park Supv. just informed me via email, that the Town of Cohasset Water Dept. (who owns the rreservoir) is cutting back brush around the dam.

Good to see someone is watching over the 'jewel of the south shore'.
