I just got my issue of SingleTracks the other day and I noticed that Trek generously donated two sweet bikes for those involved in the Trail Care Series. I also noticed Sinster donated a bike for those who help out at Vietnam.

So my question is when can I start? I know there is still snow on the ground, but how soon does the trail care series start? Is there a calendar to reference?

thanks

The way that I have seen it happen, they will be announced both here on the forums and also in single tracks. However, when things get underway, the announcements will more than likely show up here first. I don't remember where in the forums they appear. But, somewhere I saw a lot of them last season.

To qualify for the Bike drawings, trail care events have to be published in Single Tracks. Informal events appearing only in the forums or email lists but not in Single Tracks are not eligible.

Each Chapter gets its planned events to PK by the publication deadlines.

Here's the events calendar which includes the Trek and Sinister TC series as well as Jamis TC Series and the Kona Ride series.

http://www.nemba.org/nembaevents/events.html

Dates will be added throughout the year so there's never a static picture of all of the TC dates.

But no need to stop with the official NEMBA trail series dates, there are trailgroups everywhere that host trails days such as rail trail groups, friends groups, and other corporate sponsors such as REI.

Yup, all the SEMASS Trail Care Dates on the page DV mentioned are up-to-date, and every TCD gets you another chance in the hat for the Trek drawing. The Top Fuel 69er requires attendance at at least 3 TCD's. Here's the link to the info:

Thank you Bruce and Sinister for your generous support of the work we are doing in Vietnam.

We are in the process of working out the trail care schedule for Vietnam. We need to fit it into the already busy schedule of events here in New England. The plan is to have 3 weekend trail days: late spring, summer, and early fall. We will continue the Tuesday Night Trailcrew (TNT). The dates for these events and start of TNT will be posted very soon. Look for it on NEMBA.com, SingleTracks, and the forums.
