I had this Yeti (http://www.yeticycles.com/Bikes/Bikes575.cfm) on top of my car last night.
The thing is SICK.
Unfortunately it isn't mine. I brought a friend to the LBS to pick it up. It's fresh from Golden, CO and mannnn is it beautiful.
I admit...I'm jealous.
(edited to add) His is black.

I love the Marin. (it's the '07 Mt Vision)
I think it's a bit lighter than the Yeti 575 but the Yeti has a little more travel.
It has good clearance, rides nice and smooth sucking up bumps and climbs really well.
I have no complaints at all with it.

IT sure is a nice lookin bike and I hear nothing but good things about Marin's suspension design (may look a little bulky down around the swingarm area - but if it works - who cares!)

When you look at it in person it looks like it should weigh about 40 pounds......but then you pick it up and it's surprisingly light.
I think Marin's website states that it weighs approximately 28.5 pounds but I've never put it on a scale to confirm or deny it.
The '08 Mt Vision is available in orange which I think looks really nice.

No we got it in Westport....Village Bicycles (http://www.villagebicycle.com/).
The owner of the shop (Jim) was so impressed with the Yeti that once this first one was delivered he turned around and ordered 3 more.

That's a nice looking bike. Your friend will not be disappointed with its performance.
Call me old-school, but I still like the simple, straight lines of the older models' top tube.
