Is Fort Rock going to be developed?

Someone mentioned they've seen signs that say " save Fort Rock" on them around the Fort rock entrance. Does anyone know what's up? http://savefortrock.com/

A chuch wants to build a campus next to the town forest. It really wont affect the trails. Conservation groups think it isnt appropriate for the area. I think it could be a better parking area to access trails....

The main problem with the plan is the environmental impact on the watershed area, as well as the visual appeal of the "gateway" to the town of Exeter.

Imagine several acres of water-absorbing land suddenly being paved- and it all slopes straight to the Exeter River. Not a good situation.

As far as the trails, it won't affect them- the land drains away from the trails. There will be more traffic in the area on Sunday mornings though!
