Where are they?

I mounted my studs and hit Great Brook Farm on saturday and had a good time on the trails west of Lowell St -- things were pretty well packed down by hikers and snowshoers, and the tires hooked up really well.

The only problem is that most of the trails there are ski-only right now, or can't be reached without riding a ski-only trail. I did 3 laps of almost everything that was open to bikes, and had energy left. But I stopped because I was getting a little bored with seeing the same trails over and over.

So where else can I go that'll have good conditions and plenty of trails to explore?

As of right now, these are good choices if you want to ride on mostly dirt.

Borderland, Foxboro, Freetown, Otis, Trail of Tears.

Harold Parker should be reasonable by this weekend.

Just be weary of the snow melt and tread lightly if the trails are soft.

after today's heat? Is there snow anywhere south of NH? I guess LD would still be snow covered but until it gets hard again that would just be a slog!

no snow in the south shore but north shore still has a bit in the woods. We really need some cold weather stat!!!!! Once that moves in conditions will be great.

Not a favorable report from a friend who tried HP today. Still lots of snowy slush. Might be ok when and if it freezes for a day or 2.

Hoping HP will work out with the freeze after this weekend.
