I cut and pasted this from the Huffington Post. It was in response to a posting by Laurie David on what else but global warming. Seems she flew all the way to Oslo to see Al Gore receive his award. I know what your thinking. I won't say it. It's like shooting fish in a bucket.
"Like Nancy Pelosi with impeachment, our friend Al Gore is making a huge mistake by not running for President of the United States.
Looking at the list of candidates, you'll see that neither Hillary nor Barack understands the seriousness of global warming and what we need to do as a country.
I'm not too happy with him. Anyone he chooses (Bobby Kennedy, Jr. and you) can lead the fight for global warming under his direction from the Oval Office. I read something he wrote last night before I went to sleep; he said that he knows the candidates aren't ready to make global warming the priority that it needs to be.
Laurie, I'm angry at him for not having the courage to do what millions of Americans want him to do. We need a leader and he keeps saying stuff like: Yes I will run, yes I may run. I will run for president if I renter politics someday. My God, he of all people knows that with this current administration, the Constitutional crisis, Democratic leadership run amuck, Nancy Pelosi acting every day to cover-up the Democratic role in torture, a Vice-President and President who have committed high crimes and crimes against international law, what the hell is he waiting for? Laurie, what is wrong with him? Is he still hurting inside from the coup that Bush committed in 2000 along with the help of the Supreme (not in my mind) Court? Tell him to get over it and jump in the race NOW! There may be no tomorrow. There may be no race. Laurie, they have all of the Executive Orders and Directives in place to shut this government down!
What is Al Gore thinking? Push him to run Laurie and get him to people like Brent Budowsky and others (Jonathan Turley, John Dean and other scholars of the Constitution) to talk to him! Do something Laurie! Global warming can't wait, but take a look at the state of this country and the candidates who are running!
