For or Against Casinos in Massachusetts?

I'm curious where the people of our forum stand on Gov. Patrick's proposal (http://www.mass.gov/?pageID=pressreleases&agId=Agov3&prModName=gov3pressrelease&prFile=070917_casino_gaming.xml) to introduce resort casinos to Massachusetts. Having seen the rise of the Connecticut casinos first hand and their effect on their host communities, I have my opinion (http://noreaster.wordpress.com/2007/12/09/against-casinos-in-massachusetts/).

What is yours? For or against? Why? Would you gamble at one?

Against. They serve no good purpose that I can see, and I would hate to unlucky enough to live an area where a casino was to be built. That would flat out ruin a town for me.
