Anyone been out in either Wompy or Borderland since the snow/rain and freeze? Wondering how icy it is. I can deal with snow, but icy sheets are where I draw the line.
Thanks!

I'm in Hingham and drove into the park today, Friday early am. Light snow cover in the area, trails look frozen with just a dusting of snow. I have not ridden but they look okay to ride without studs

I just did a 2.5 hr ride at Borderland. The trails are a mix of about an inch to 2 inches of snow and sort of a granular crushed ice.
Some sections of rock have smooth slick water ice covering them.
Neither my riding partner nor I had studded tires and we did ok. But mannn my legs are burning now.
I only managed to take a couple pics before the battery in my camera died.

Will most likely be doing a 3 hour ride at Otis this Sunday morning leaving the rte 151 lot at around 10 am.

Rode Wompy Sat. & Sun., good conditions both days. Sat. was a little sloppier with the warmer temps. and more snow left over. Today (Sun.) was still solid; packed snow in most places from all the traffic on Sat. and not to icy.
Plenty of riding left, none of this 3 seasons stuff :D. We'll have to see what the weather over the next several days does to this.
