Greater Boston NEMBA held it's annual elections this past Monday night and after much debating, soapboxing, mudslinging and millions of dollars spent on campaign advertising, the results are in:
Tim Post - President (for a third term)
Mike Tabaczynski - Vice President (former Chapter president and 4th term VP)
Greg Koch - Vice President (New Board Member - Welcome to Massachusetts!)
Claire Grimble - Treasurer (for a sixth term)
Terry Kennedy - Secretary (for a second term)
In related news, Terry Kennedy has been elected NEMBA MTB Patrol Director for 2008. Terry has done a great deal of work in 2007 to promote the Patrol and boost membership, so please join me in congratulating him and wishing him well as he guides the patrol through their plans for the future. I'd also like to thank Sam Davis for his leadership, energy and contributions during his tenure as Director. A big thanks also goes out to all the Patrollers who came out to support us riders at all the events held this season.
In 2007, GBNEMBA had a very busy and productive year. GBNEMBA put together several new programs including 4 distinct rides series, 4 awareness and fundraising events, a Trail Crew Leader Training weekend, an aggressive Trail Maintenance schedule and participation in several land stewardship situations. Thanks to all who helped us pull this massive amount of work off including the 2007 GB and Regional Board Members, GBRideGuides, TCL's, active volunteer members and especially PK. For 2008 we look forward to building even more great programs for current and new members to enjoy. C U on the Trailz...
