If you only go to one race this winter, make it this one. Sounds like a killer batch of prizes too, a complete bike among other things. See you all there.

1/27/08 Shawnee Peak, Bridgton ME

Whether you participate or spectate, this is one of the most exciting events on the calendar! We build a course, complete with twists, turns, banks and jumps and you get your bike down without biting the big one!
Oh, by the way, you are riding with three other bikers! It is a boardercross with bikes!
Practice runs start at 11:30am. Event starts at 1pm. $30 Registration fee - and everyone gets a free lift ticket. Question...This sorta stupid, BUT would you need studed tires to do this race? or is regular downhill tires appropriate?

I have always used regular tires, some people use studs, but it doesn't seem to make much difference. The course is snow so once it get's ridden in a bit, the snow get's all chopped up and rutty and loose.

im considering doing this...It looks really fun...Just gotta get my bike looked at...haha

Just a question..has anyone ever done this on a Hardtail?? or does everyone bring their full suspension bikes?
