It's about time. Man, I feel friggin' old considering I was 19 when I went to the first one, but I'm going regardless. Maybe they'll let me in with my cane and walker ;) Anyone else going? Get your tickets real quick like on 10/19, I would guess they're going to sell out fast...

wow it has been ages. I saw them at the University at Albany in New York back in the late 90s along with They Might Be Giants and I think Weezer or some other band like that.

The throwdown was enough to get my brother to drive up from NC. Guess I'm buying some extra tix on Friday. I have no clue who's opening for them any of the nights, Murphy's Law or Fishbone (Ok, they might overshadow them a little bit..) would be really cool but who knows who it'll be.

Got a couple of tickets for the Thursday show when they went on sale at 10am!
I can't believe it sold out so quickly though. I had someone try to get me a couple of more at 10:10am and they were gone.....

I got hosed along with almost everyone else (online at 10:00 - sold out, lame)... if anyone is willing to part with a pair of tix please let me know. Trying to get one for myself and my brother. He's still coming up anyway, and we may just try to go up and beatdown some a$$clown scalper, errr, uh I mean buy some tix on the street....

I was there, too. My buddy was going to Northeastern. He drank a few one too many beers that night. I remember him fishing around in a dorm toilet for something? That's the night I became convinced there were better ways to party than alcohol.

What band? I used to go to lots of shows out here in western Mass around then at Pearl St. and Katinas. A few of my friends played in local bands. They played with Wrecking Crew a bunch.

Slapshot
It was because of Slapshot that I first heard about the Bosstones in maybe '90? I was about 15 so that seems right. This older kid in my neighborhood was super into Slapshot and used to regale me with his stories of going to Boston to see shows. He's the reason I got into bands like the DK, Misfits, Murphy's Law, Fishbone etc. I used to think he was an unofficial Slapshot member he was so into them.

LOL, yeah sure! (I should do that to mine).
No Slapshot reunion in the foreseeable future. We played our 1 show this year in Florida. Maybe 08 in Boston.

I remember you guys for sure. Not so much the music (I was way more of a metal head) but I think I saw you guys at a skating rink in Enfield, CT.

It's really too bad the scalpers scarfed up so many of the MIddle East tickets -- I still can't believe I was able to get a couple. I've been seeing them sell on eBay for $700+/pair. Geez.....

Finally got a ticket for tomorrow nights show! Didn't have to pay an arm and a leg either.. I have a feeling finding parking on Mass Ave may prove to be more difficult.
Backup plan is to bring a bike and park under the common and just ride over if parking is as bad as everyone says it is...
If anyone else here is going tomorrow night let me know....

Bring some ear plugs. Man, that was the loudest concert I've been to in a long time. My ears are still ringing from last night.....
I took some photos I'll post later.

They were great! Tons of energy, yet down to earth. They really appreciated being in front of a Boston crowd. Good stuff.
I took some OK shots of the first band, Westbound Train, but once the Bosstones came on, it was difficult to slip around for some decent angles. Be nice to have a press pass.....

Well, gotta say that show was amazing... I think I finally fell asleep ~ 5:00 Am this morning. The guy I was going to buy Stacy's ticket from hosed me and never showed. Luckily they were willing to sell us a ticket at the door for face value :). Couldn't believe it given how they were "sold out" and people were buying tix for ludicrous amounts of cash. Central Kitchen across the street was a good place to hand out and drink a few beers prior to heading over, a little pricey but awesome food. NYE should be a good time although this time I may just hangout in the back and watch the mayhem.. I think I'm getting too old or something ;)
