One place with beaucoup logs to cross is Arcadia, at least the south side does. I rode there for the first time a couple summers ago and didn't make it over many. Now it's something to look forward to.

Some have been notched down with a chainsaw to make it easier for the average rider to clear. McDuff approves! ;)
A tree fell recently right at the end of a short log ride, now it's even better!

But still sometimes it doesn't go as planned :D

On a side note, the new trail is getting worn in nicely alongside the long boardwalk.

Log crossing are always a good challenge. I'm curious though, why has a trail been cleared next to that boardwalk? Just for dry months?
Thanks for the photos.

They don't want MTBS on the boardwalk in case of foot traffic.

I like the way you disappear after the fall, looks like you were swallowed up by the ferns.... :-)

The boardwalk is supposed to be for handicapped traffic (wheelchair) accessibility.
