My camera was just not wanting to play nice . and when it did it took some interesting photos

Broken camera??? That's just my new laser beam head light.

I think what you want to use is something called "Rear Curtain Sync" if your camera has it. The flash will fire at the end rather than the beginning so the lights will trail behind the subject, not in front of them.

That looks like crazy terrain to be on at night!

After seeing the last picture I thought IF rider had turned into a unicorn after being cursed by the creepy tree gnome.... pretty cool effect even it was accidental.
