I'm scouring ebay for a used xc suspension fork to be used for racing and smoother off road rides on my hardtail. I'm interested in what people think of what I've narrowed it down to. All are in the 80-100 mm travel range. RS Sid Race, RS Duke, Fox F80 RLT, or Marzocchi Marathon SL. Any good/bad experiences with any of these or any thoughts in general are appreciated. Thanks!

the F80 RLT are AMAZING FORKS! I used to have them on a Kona cowan! They worked so well. I never had any touble with them. They are great for singletrack, xc, technical, ect.

I'd also suggest a Reba, they're pretty darn light, and they're built a lot stronger than the Sid's. I've had one on my bike for 2 years now and its still going strong.

I have a SID SL (80mm, light..)that is not pretty, ghetto-spray-painted black** BUT is like new inside having been majorly serviced by Rock Shox just before I took it off and replaced it with a MM SL 120mm that I'm real happy with on the same bike (so I'd recommend that too...but not selling mine)
The SID I'd take 75 clams for, or a Mary Bar and a six-pack of Smuttynose.
**The black paint will come off easy with a solvent, leaving that nice bright blue color.....
