I recently moved to Maynard and am on the hunt for nearby trails. I tried Mount Misery in Lincoln but the bike trail section was pretty easy and I ended up back on pavement before long (though I may have taken a wrong turn). Any suggestions?
Also, which NEMBA chapter covers my area?
Thanks!

Your best bet for trails close to maynard is Stow & Bolton. The Stow town Forest (Gardner Hill) is a few minute drive, Park on Bradley lane at the soccer field parking lot and there trails are right there. Stow also has many other conservation properties that can easily be linked with quick road connections. Bolton Has lots of trails as well, an easy place to pick up trails is at the Brick Kiln / Rattlesnake hill property on Rt117 (going west on the right hand side) just after Bolton Orchards. Just last weekend I rode from my house in Stow and covered 55 miles (90% on trails) in Stow and Bolton

In the other direction there is good riding in Acton, Concord (Estabrook Woods), and Carlisle (Greatbrook State Forest). You can easily ride a loop connecting all these areas with only short jaunts on the road.
Lots of other areas if you are into exploring...
Great Brook Farm State Forest is a good local destination ride. Plenty of parking and marked trails.
