I've heard a lot about Millstone Hill and have been wanting to hit it for as long as it's been up and running. I climbed a cell tower at the top of the Rock of Ages quarry a few years ago and was blown away by the incredible scenery and quantity of rock. Located in East Barre, these quarries are reportedly the largest granite quarries in the world. There are piles of granite blocks everywhere.

While the scenery was amazing and the quarries historically impressive what was most important is the riding did not disappoint. Loads of flowing singletrack, piles of stone features (and unlimited potential for more) and a very laid back vibe - the place is incredible. I had a hard time getting action shots, just too tough to stop.

Lots of quarry ponds:

This quarry is still being worked, hence the water color:

Lots of lines to choose from:

A fun stunt with a couple options:

"What do you mean this scaffolding doesn't look safe?"

Many blocks to play on:

If you've been to KT multiple times you owe it to yourself to hit this place. I can't wait to go back. http://www.millstonehill.com/touringcenter.html

Thanks radair, looks like another great place to hit.
If I can get a local crew up to Stowe,
this and Waterbury would keep us real busy.
