The family and I are heading to Stowe next week. Where would you recommend riding? We ride often and ride tough (though my youngest is 10) and are looking to ride approximately 10 - 15 (or so) miles a day. We'd like to check out the local trails but really need to know where to go.
thanks!!!

Check out the loop behind Iride Cycles on Mtn Rd. Lots of rocks, roots etc, but a very fun area (maybe 8-10 miles?). The Cottonbrook area also has a nice loop mostly gravel double track with some singletrack mixed in. Also if you feeling giddy the pump track, dirt jump and free ride area at the polo fields is fun as well def. worth checking out. I am sure your 10 year old would have a ball messing around with a pump track!

A link to some shots of the area from last summer....

Thanks woodsguy and mdc. We are heading out in the a.m. We are also going to Ben & Jerry's - looks like tomorrow will be perfect for that.
Thanks again for the recommendations, we'll be sure to check them out.

There is also good riding in Waterbury. Go to Iride bikes (used to be Irie) for directions and info...also check the club site:
