Riding back from a road ride tonight I got bit by a bulldog just before Belle Marsh Road meet Emery's Bridge Road (near Mt. A in South Berwick). Lucky for me bulldogs are short and he got as much pedal as he did shoe, and he got me on the down stroke so I ended up smashing his head into the pavement before he could really muckle on. Anyone else meet this product of bad dog owners?

Good thing he's got short feet stays or he mighta recovered to give chase.

Dude don’t you watch the Dog Whisper? Just stop and make a SHSSSSSST noise! Bulldogs are breed to herd bulls and he probably couldn’t resist your meaty muscular asss riding down the road, poor guy couldn’t help himself.

Anyway thanks for the heads up, I haven’t seen that dog before. Seriously though I never try to escape a dog by riding away, it only reinforces there instinct to attack. Stop and stand your ground, that’s usually enough to turn them away… works for me anyways.

A squirt with the water bottle works EVERY time. Doesn't matter what is in it.

I was watching the Rob & Big show last night (pro skater) and while walking down the street his pet bulldog went after another skater coming down the street. Nipped at him and tried to steal the other guy’s board by jumping on it and riding away. The dog can skateboard, pretty funny.

There is also a big husky up there too PAW that likes to chase. Everybody just speeds up and bikes away… I stop get off and say “what you want a piece of me?” All bark and no bite, turns around and goes home.

PAW-You road noob you:D , you have to find someone slower than you to road ride with. That way when you encounter such a dog, you speed up and your riding partner gets bit.

(By the way, I am not available for road rides with you.;) )

By the time I realized what was happening, the dog was already muckled onto my foot. I've never been aggressively approached by a dog (unless you count the ex-gf's dog who always wanted to hump my leg) in my entire life, until then. Next time he's getting a full speed punt. I used to kick a football 65 yards. I wonder what that translates to for a bulldog?
