Im going up to Attitash and Cannon and Loon in a couple of weeks, and i was wondering if i should get some Invest in some Downhill Tubes. My Friends have them and they say they are good to use? is this true? or not

They'll probably come in handy at Attitash - lots of opportunities for pinch flats there. Burly tubes help avoid those and let you run lower pressure for better gription at the same time.

Won't be much use at Cannon or Loon tho, as there's no riding to speak of at either place. Scratch those places and hit Highland instead.

"Burly" is an adjective, not a company. Means "sturdy".

another good addition for attitash riding is downhill casing tires. this is usual dual ply tires as opposed to single ply xc tires. they haelp cut back on pinch flats alot and protect the side of the tires a lot more. they're a decent sized investment. the DH tubes alone will make a big difference as well if you don't want to buy DH tires. attitash also rented bikes last time i went 2 years ago so they might still do that as well.

Definitely get some DH tubes. I got a pinch flat in my rear while smokin down Attitash. The rear end of my bike started to fishtail before I could even grab the brakes. Almost lost it and ate rocks for lunch. On top of that, I pinched two tubes the day before because I didn't want to get DH tubes. Also, thicker sidewall downhill tires will help too. Attitash is a great place to ride, but Highland is way better.

REI carries kenda tubes in 2.2-2.4 for $6. Usually tough to find presta though if you're partial to those, unless you order on line. They're big enough to run up to a 2.7 no problem.
