Note the new start location and the Death March (this will be a long ride, but rewarding in that it will include nice tech. sections). The below is from Peter G.

Directions:

95 S to the second exit 5 exit, exit dumps you onto 102 - follow 102 until you hit Rte 3. Right on Rte 3 - follow for approx 2 miles to a flashing yellow (pizza joint on right). Take a right at the flashing light onto Rte 165. Follow 165 for a few miles. The Beach Pond entrance is on the right hand side after passing a small white church.

Arcadia Fun Ride May 20th
Sunday May 20th, Arcadia Fun Ride. Arrowed loops for beginner through expert. Ride still being laid out, two intersecting loops should be a 10 and a hero loop to bring it to 20 miles or more.

NOTE!!!! New location; Beach Pond parking lot (right on rt 165 just before the Ct border). Registration 9 - 11 am. $5 for members, $10 for non-members, free if you join or renew your $25 NEMBA membership. Cookout for all members following the ride. Many great raffle prizes donated by local businesses and bike shops. Money from raffle and ride fees will go to support the Cycle for Life Foundation. Bring your orange vest as it is still “turkey season”.

In addition we will offer a Beginners Basic Skills Clinic at 10:00 for those new to mountain biking or wanting to learn a few new tricks.

AND we’re offering a “Whole (maybe Hole) Enchilada Ride!!! A lead epic ride, leaving at 9:00. Some might call a death march, that will include more remote trails and technical trails, rocks, ledges and then some.

Bumping - also, please be sure to note the Safety Orange requirement as Hunting Season never seems to end in RI.

I'd say no, but stay tuned... Most of Arcadia drains quickly but that said if we do receive the higher amount forecasted (3/4") it may be cancelled. I'll send some emails now and post what I hear. It wouldn't be the showers on Sunday that do it in, it would be how much falls tonight and tomorrow.
