Well, there is no shortage of trail-work opportunities for those so inclined this weekend in Massachusetts. In the Pioneer vallley we have at least two-Steve Rossi is hosting one down at Robinson Sp in Agawam and we're covering the northern end of the Valley!

Where: Wendell State Forest, Wendell, MA--We'll meet at the Park Headquarters on Montague Rd

When: 8:30am--bright and early! Saturday May 5 and Saturday May 12

What: We'll be Building a brand new (and very challenging-to build and ride!!) trail as well as performing basic trail clean-up through out the park. The May 12th work day will be in conjunction with a larger multi-group effort throughout the whole park.

Bring a snack, water, work clothes and cutting tools if you got them. Also bring a bike-we won't work much past 1:00pm and there will be ample time to ride (and someone to show you around!)-supposed to be beautiful this weekend and the trails-after we work on them-will be great.

Any questions? Send them to me:

Oh, I'm sorry Mark-it would be funnier and more clever if I used some comedy central comic's over-hyped tag line?? That would be less dopey??

Fine,
Dee dee dee.
and here's a 'git 'r done' to boot!

Well-the May 5th trail work day has come and gone and though the turn out was small-the work performed was significant (it's amazing what can get done with a few motivated volunteers!).

But-you all have a second chance to kick in a day at Wendell State Forest! This Saturday-May 18th at 8:30-meeting at the Park Headquarters on Montague Rd in Wendell, MA.

We'll be focusing solely on trail building so it will be a chance to come out and swing a mcCleod ot two and create something brand new.

There Will also be a number of other groups at Wendell That day as it is a general Park Serve Day--so be sure to hook up with the NEMBA bike trail building crew if you come. Look for Mark Courtemanche (a man of strapping stature-a combination of mountain man and tom cruise some say) who will be leading our efforts at Wendell on Saturday.

Again-we'll be working from 8:30am to about 12:30-1:00--so there will be time to ride as well. Come on out and lend a hand folks!

Drop a line with questions to me:

Hope to see you all there!
