Mac is right,

Rain with a bit of sleet mixed in occasionally here in the pioneer valley. Some of the hilltown folk had a bit of white, but nothing to speak of. Precipitation started around 7:00 am here while it was still in the mid 40s. Cooling off now, but it had a long way to go.

It sure is. Winter may have not started until well into January, but it will still be showing life in May. It is coming down really heavy right now.

Good for you man .. getting out there plenty.

Ya know ... If I went out and suffered more often on the trails ... then I bet I would not suffer as much when I ride. Nah.

Well, one more powder day. Kinda sets the biking back about a week, not sure if it's worth it. Same photo location as yesterday's pic above.

Wow .. you got it alright.

Ya know .. the fresh snow in April looks so pretty.
Especially when it's somewhere else. ;)

I heard this morning some areas could see a foot of snow before this weekend is out. Rob you'll have to add another "after" to your photo set.

I have next week off, as do the kids. Anyone know what the skiing is like?

I've read what's on the mountain's web sites, but everyone knows those are lies right?

It was epic today at Wildcat. I am totally thrashed.

Most areas are closed, so you'd better check first.

Jisch,

I'm taking the boys up to Killington tomorrow. I'll let you know what its like tomorrow evening.

My guess is further North would be a good idea...

Jisch,

Based on our experience today, they aren't lies!

Well over 2' of pow off the trails at K'ton.

Had a gas, though it did get plenty heavy in the late afternoon.
The locals were talking of more significant snow tomorrow and into monday, my suggestion is head north. Killington or further north should be great at least early in the week.

If you are talking multi-day - our favorite all time is Sugarloaf, but it is a long haul from CT. For us outside Springfield MA, I won't do the trip for less than 3 days.

Have fun,
H.

Thanks for the info. I've got these 15.00 off coupons for Okemo, but that might be too far south. Have to keep an eye on the forecast. Tuesday looks like the we'd go.

So, it looks like the North Country is getting hammered big time with snow right now. I'm really tempted to head North Tuesday or Wednesday. PRoblem is, a lot of places like Cannon are closed for the season. It looks like Wildcat is $29 on the weekdays. Hmmmm........
