So with the recent white stuff and the cold spell, is it OK to ride on the trails?
The local land management organization says no riding during the mud season, but it is going to be in the 20s tonight, and at 7am the trails will still be frozen.
Is this OK to ride the trails? Or am I clouded by Singletrack fever?

p.s. I rode around my snow covered yard and did not sink in!

EDIT: I did a road ride instead.

If you are off the trails before they soften to mud, what is the harm? Just like winter conditions. But if it is public land and they are saying no, then it is just like winter. No different.

If they are closed, I say stay off even if we get a freeze. You will always have riders making their own personal call on trail conditions which will lead to everyone doing what they want. Conditions can change a couple of times a day with this crazy weather.
