The month of may, Wendell State Forest will be closed to all vehicle traffic.
It seems the dam at the end of Ruggles Pond has begun to come apart and is in need of repairs, so the main entrance to the park will be closed for the month so as they can rebuild the dam.
On that note Ranger Bryant Stewart, has a few odd jobs and some rock work, and we-NEMBA- have offered our help. We will also be working on some of our NEMBA built trails.
Wendell is a great place and we have been given free reign to ride there, and build some prime New England single-track, and we want to continue this relationship with wendell, so to say thanks, we are takeing on this project.
Come on out on Saturday May 12, and lend a hand.
