you adding air to your fork and oil comes out?
I was doing some much needed maintenance to the ride today so I popped the fork pump onto said fork and the pressure gauge went off the chart. That didn't seem right, so I pushed the release button to let out some air, only I got oil instead of air.
I got a 2002 Marzocchi Marathon that has never been overhauled. Is it time?

ok, so I am in the middle of overhauling my fork.
I went to my LBS and asked for an overhaul kit, not really knowing what else to ask for. I was provided with a oil seal / dust kit that includes 2 seals and 2 dust covers.
Is this going to fix the problem of oil coming out the air valve?
Now that it is apart, I see that the air cartridge is also overhaulable. Should I do that as well?
Also, while putting in the new seals, it says to put the hollow side toward the sliders. It isn't obvious to me what it means by that. There is a groove on one side of the seal which I assume is the hollow side. But does that go down against the washer or does it go up?
Finally, is a seal press really necessary, or can I just GENTLY tap it in with a rubber mallet and maybe a wooden dowel rod?
Thanks guys.

Before you lose track of all those washers, o-rings, seals, sliders, etc., get a digital camera and take pictures of it as you disassemble it. Step-by-Step, or the 'exploded view', either way, this always helps........
Other than that, I'd probably by now gotten the biggest hammer I could find and have smashed it to bits.....The fork is the one part of the bike that I will not usually mess with.
