Homemade Lights (need recap from old forum)

In the old forum, there was a thread covering homemade / inexpensive lights - I think it even had some HID ones. If I remember right it had links to a couple of places to get components and / or fairly cheap light heads. Anyone remember any of the links? Thanks.
