We have received a number of requests from many riders who ride at Vietnam to have a trail care day on a Sunday. Well, Sunday 10/29 is your opportunity to work on a new trail with some of the technical trail features we all like to ride.
As most of you know, it is very labor intensive to build a quality trail with quality features. We don’t just throw down some logs and rocks, cover with Nam topsoil, and call it a stunt. We spend a great deal of time preparing the site, removing all organic matter, extensively armoring the feature, then covering it with non-organic laden dirt. This is done to create a sustainable stunt that won’t collapse or require constant maintenance, and it is all done by volunteers who share our passion for riding. A number of the regular volunteers do not even ride the bigger stunts they build; yet they still show up every week and build them for others to enjoy. We ask that anyone who rides Nam, especially those riders who appreciate the stunts at the halfpipe and jumpline, etc, come out and help us build the features on the new trail on 10/29.
The following pictures are some of the stunts we are in the process of building. We hope this inspires you to set aside just one ride day to help make a great new trail that you can ride for years to come.

I just want to thank everyone for coming out and helping us bring the new trail closer to being a reality. We had between 40 and 50 people give up their one good ride day of the weekend and bust a$$ out there on the trail.
The trail will need more work to get it up and running and we're thinking about doing a couple of informal trail days in the near future to help to get some of the key features operational.
If you're interested in helping out, keep an eye out for our announcements.
Dave
BTW, I'm sure SPLAT and Berkshire_Rider will be posting pics soon of all of the work that was done.
