Went riding at Mt Pisgah in Northboro for the first time in ages last night and found a bunch of new (to me anyhow) trails. They were well marked with maps posted at most intersections. I tried to find a copy of the map online but couldn't. The only map I found is this one : http://www.town.northborough.ma.us/ntrails/trails/pisgah.htm. All of the new trails are to the south of what's on that map. Anyone know where a map of the new stuff is online??

Wanna meet up for a ride sometime? I'm working a contract gig right now over by Solomon Pond Mall.

Splat, if you could post that map that would be great.
It looks like you've hit a couple of the offshoot trails on the Berlin side that I rode by and said "I wonder where that goes?".

up up up - down down down (repeat)
lots of climbing, but that means lots of fun descents too. There are a couple of killer steep climbs, like the one that starts near the abandoned car. The older trails are fairly rocky, but not too difficult. The newer trails are more groomed in general, but still have some rocky sections.

Pisgah's a great place if you live close by. I wouldn't drive more than 30 minutes to ride it regularly though.

Hi, I just learned of your posting. I'm on the Northborough Trails Committee and we've been working with Sudbury Valley Trustees over the last year on new maps of Mt. Pisgah and the Crane Swamp areas in town. The new maps should be posted to our website this week. As you found out the current map on the website only shows the original trails in Northborough. The new map shows the trails in Berlin too. However, the public map does not show the trails on private land that we were unable to get approval for, so an X cuts those trails off. Splat has one of the early "Draft" versions of the map, which might show all the trails before we had to remove some. If you want a map now email me, otherwise hopefully the GIS guy will have the website updated soon and you can get it there. My email is - charleshbradley@verizon.net
I tried posting the maps here, but couldn't.

FYI, for anyone that wants a copy of the new Mt. Pisgah trail map, I loaded the map box at the Smith Road Northboro trailhead today. The map is in an 11x17 size, in color and covers the whole conservation corridor from Lynden St. Berlin to Green St. Northboro. Also, if there aren't any maps in the map box you can pick one up at the Town Planner's Office, and hopefully it will be online by next week when our website gets updated. Until then feel free to email me for a copy. charleshbradley@verizon.net

I finally got to check out these trails today. Most of the trailheads are within a 5 minute drive of where I'm working, so it's a very convenient way of killing a lunch hour. Very nice trails, some of them remind me of a mini-Leominster with the rock gardens. There's even some nice climbs and descents in the mix. I think I'm going to make it a regular thing while I'm working down there.
