Solute to Petersham! Thanks, Again!

I Just want to publically thank Chris Jenkins, Alf Berry, Dr. Kelton, Chuck (and the rest of the boys of Petersham) and the lovely ladies of Petersham for hosting (once again) the best mountainbiking event in New England: The John Jenkins Memorial Scholarship Fund Epic Ride. Great food, great Support, Great Folks, and oh yeah GREAT TRAILS (let no rock be wasted-the motto of Petersham!)were found in plenty this weekend.

This year's ride involved a little more soul cleansing suffering for me than last--but really a great day of riding, supporting a great mountain biking community and scholarship fund and honoring the memory of one of New England's true mountain biking Legends-John Jenkins.

Thanks Again-and I'll see you next year!

Hey Liam,

It was our pleasure to have the Valley Folk come out. It was a really special day. John would have been proud of those who completed the entire ride especially the single speeder's! When we say "the trail rocks!", it's not just a figure of speech. I think everyone went home with a tired but satisfied smile on their faces. Kudos to all who donated to the scholarship fund. The total take for the day was just over $3000!

Maybe next year we can expand the ridership. As long as folks understand what an all day ride means! Anyway, thanks again for coming out and come on back anytime.

Hey Alf, you know it might be nice to let one or two rocks in that town of yours (other than those imprisoned by the Quabbin) exist without bike tires running over them on a certain weekend in August.
