Saw a Fisher Cat

I saw a fisher cat yesterday while riding in the woods in CT. This is the second one I have seen in a month. I didn't get a great look at the animal the first time, but yesterday I watched it for about two minutes. As soon as it smelled, saw or heard me it was gone, but what an interesting animal. Both time I have seen the fisher cat it was running along the top of a stone wall in the middle of the day. There has been a resurgence of fisher cats locally and many people have complained about lost cats and small dogs.

I saw a fisher cat once many years ago chasing a squirrle through the tree tops which gives a sense of the speed and agility of these animals.

I saw one this year too...around 8am...sniffing around the campsite. It saw me, 10 yards, then froze, and then crept away slowly as I was digging for the camera. too late, it was disappear'ed.

fat bugger too. like a big mink, and a fat, cat o' 9 tails puffy tail that
tapered down. the thing was dark coco brown and had big paw prints. paw prints as big as a dog. I wouldn't want to corner one that's for sure.
