Just wanted to thank the folks who wrote the articles for the recent Singletracks! I was at the beach today with the family and threw it in the bag. Well I was stoked to see the Morocco article. It wasn't even listed on the cover! And the SE mass piece was fine. A map would have helped...

Thanks to folks for taking the time to write. I wrote an article a while back on riding in Italy. I think there has been a great travel piece just about every issue, which is awesome! Madagascar, Utah, Morocco, Italy... what else? Oh yea.... NEW ENGLAND...

In other news... still waiting on my NEMBA-deal Ted Wojcik. Patience Grasshoppa!

I just got my Singletracks today! It does have some great stuff to read, you forgot to mention Hammerhead’s Whistler BC article, another international destination! Great piece, although I have to say, I think Mr. Green took some creative liberties describing his Looine Race results… Pete Brandenburg finished in the top 25; I think maybe Harold didn’t realize that they were sneaky and shortened the race course for the stragglers near the end. I was surprised to see so many people that were behind me the whole race at the finish line already…. Not really saying that’s the case, just find it hard to believe you beat Pete… but it really wasn’t serious anyways, I mean how often do you stop to take pictures of bears when you’re racing.

Oh.. and for the record, I didn’t take a grant writing class with Mike we did “Strong Partnerships for Trails: Creating Common Ground” with Jim Hasenauer, I did really enjoy reading that article, it was a great summery HH.

Yep Great edition.

Jisch - didn't know you and your wife rode in Morocco - cool as hell!

I'd like to see the GPS map of the Cockaponsett ride too - although it sounds like better routes can be done there.

Oh yeah and if any NEMBA chapters need someone to write a proposal for a grant, feel free to email me or PM me. It is what I do for a living and I'd be happy to help a chapter out with finding prospects for grant funds and also with writing proposals to secure said funds.

Cheers,

Mark

Yeah, it was cool...

WRT the Cockaponsett route - I rode the section north of Beaver Meadow Road (or part of it). It wasn't all that great compared to the rest of Cockaponsett - pretty wet and muddy too!
