I'm an advanced-beginner freerider and I'm thinking of doing some sessioning at Vietnam on Sunday. Can anyone tell me where a good area(s) would be to do some beginner/advanced-beginner sessioning? Jump, drops, etc.

Thanks guys.

Climb the cell tower hill off of 85 to the fire road, turn left then take the first right before you start climbing again, this will take you to the first NEMBA trail on our property (Dirty Little Secret). As you go around the loop pay attention to the signs directing flow and marking the drops. If you've never been before I"d suggest either going with someone who is familliar with the trail or scoping out the hits on foot before you ride them. The first drop you'll come to (rented mule) has a set of whoops in front of it that can be either gapped or more likely rolled if you're a beginner but the drop can not be rolled, either commit or be prepared to stop. The second set you'll come to (frame twister) is a drop with a sally line to the rider's left, after the drop/go-around you'll be in a berm, keep your speed up for the drop, the landing is buttery smooth. After that the next play area you'll come to after a couple rock gardens will be the half-pipe. There is a lot of work being done in this area right now so please pay attention to the closures, the first drop into the 'pipe and the step-up are open though. leaving the half pipe you'll come through a couple large rock gardens before getting to Blind Faith. This is a roller with a couple small rock kickers at the bottom. After Blind Faith is a small drop/roll off a boulder and a step-up just up the trail from that. From there you're into the berms and the jump line, the first two hits can be rolled or jumped, the next is the kicker between the trees then a drop and P.O.D. at the bottom of jump line and you will be right back where you started. There are other places to play in 'Nam, but I think this has the best concentration of things to build your skills on.

Hope this helps,
Eammon

Wes - good advice below. I'd agree - get onto the NEMBA trail, start riding, and just make sure to look before you leap. You'll have a blast, and you're bound to hook up with somebody that can show you around if you want to check out some other trails.
Give me a yell and I can give you more info.

Thanks a lot for the great advice guys. trike rider from BS invited me to tag with him and a buddy of his. Waiting to see if dinger can make it too. I'll be on a blue Kona Coiler with a blue/silver fullface and a bikapelli sticker on it.
