Want to take a road trip up to the land of L.L. Bean and riding some great Maine singletrack?

Bradbury Mountain State Park
Topeak-Kenda MTB Adventure

August 20th
Pownal, Maine
Registration: 9-10am

Hosted by Maine NEMBA, the ride at Bradbury Mountain State Park will showcase many new singletrack trails in this great park. There are over 30 miles of some of the tightest, fastest singletrack in New England.

There will be arrowed courses for beginner, intermediate and advanced cross-country riders, as well as led rides of all levels. Afterwards, Maine NEMBA will fire up the grille so we can hang out afterwards and carbo load!

All proceeds from the event will go to future trail development at Bradbury Mountain State Park.

The cost is $15 for the general public, $10 for NEMBA members, and if you join NEMBA you get to ride for free!

On your way home, you can hit L.L.Bean's store in Freeport -- only minutes away!

Oh yeah, Toddski in da house!

I'm not so sure about those directions above? I would go up 95 N, get onto I-295 via (exit 52) Falmouth spur and zip up I-295 to exit 22 for Freeport... yada yada yada, that way seems quicker and more direct to me.

Heads up, Some of the posted directions for the event are not right! Maine changed all of the exit numbers a few years back and I-295 used to be called I-95. Old maps and internet info can get you lost.

95N to exit 52 Falmouth/US-1

I-295 N toward FALMOUTH.

Take the ME-125/ME-136 exit- EXIT 22- toward DURHAM/AUBURN/BRADBURY MTN. STATE PARK/POWNAL. 0.1 miles

Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto ME-125/ME-136/MALLET DR. 0.1 miles

Turn LEFT onto DURHAM RD. 0.2 miles

DURHAM RD becomes POWNAL RD. 1.9 miles

POWNAL RD becomes ELMWOOD RD. 2.3 miles

Turn RIGHT onto HALLOWELL RD / ME-9. 0.5 miles

End at 528 Hallowell Rd, Bradbury State Park

The Bradbury event was a lot of fun. Although the weather kept the turnout fairly low, everyone had a good time. The rain let up for most of the ride and the trails were in good shape. Thanks to Calvin, NEMBA and the other sponsors for putting it on. Lionel, you deserve special praise for doing most of the ride without your seat (and post). I'm planning on making it down to Wompy for NEMBAFest. I screwed up uploading some pictures. You can see them at photobucket. http://photobucket.com/

Yeah Lionel is the man for hanging tough and riding all the extra loops with us without a seat, he has skinny little chicken legs anyways so the extra workout was good for him. That’s too bad the rain kept people away, because it certainly was a fine ride though the damp Maine woods.

Thanks Calvin and Crew!
