I am looking for a pretty good rear wheel. It has to fit in my wife's Gary Fisher with V-brakes, so no 1" wide rims.

Nothing race-lite, bit reasonably round and true.

Slider,
I've got a pair (frt and rear) Ritchey rock OCR's. They are on parallax hubs. Rear still has a 7cassette on it with a spacer behind it(hub is made for both 7 and 8 speed cassettes). I will get rid of them for 65.00 cash for the pair. My bike has disc now so no use for them. They are both still true, alitte dirty but not much wear. Let me know..

Are you sure a 7 speed hub fits an eight speed casette? Is the spacing the same? Would I have re-dish? Replace the freehub?

Slider,
The free hub was designed to fit 7/8 speed. I have the spacer on it to run the 7 speed, with out the spacer it will run an 8 speed with no issues at all. The free hub will fit both. You will not have to redish it at all. I have used it like this for a couple of years with no problem. I got them at first with the intention to go to 8 speed but never did on that bike. Thank you

OK, I'm good. I'd like to dodge the shipping cost if possible. My brother lives in N. Andover, MA. Ever head a little south?

Slider,
I get over to Nasua alot, if that will help. Thats only about 1/2 hour away (bout 30miles) according to mapquest. I could meet him(your brother) in Nasua as that is about 1/2 hour away for me aswell. If that would work for ya. Thats just like a drive to the LBS anyways. Let me know.

I'll set it up with my brother and get back to you via PM. Might take a few days. Meanwhile, I'll PM you my contact info.
