FS: 2002 Trek Fuel 100 - Medium (17.5) $1200

For Sale: 2002 Trek Fuel 100 - Dual Suspension - Medium (17.5) $1200. The 100 was the top of the line when I bought it. It now says 95 on it, as the front triangle was replaced in 2004, and they no longer had the same model, but the 95 had the identical front as mine, so it is flat black now. The rear triangle was replaced last season, and has only seen 4 or 5 rides. It is now gloss black and is now all aluminum (original was carbon). The wheels do not even have a season on them. XT disc hubs and and black (I think?) Mavic rims. It has Hayes MX2 disc brakes front and rear. The fork and shock are original and work great. The XT drive train has two rides on it. Why replace and sell? Had to, the other was done. Looking for $1200. This is a light weight XC bike and I absolutely love it, but it is time for a change. I'm not interestd in your bike (just wanted to state that up front), but I had a minute and did a search over at Ebay for completed items. It looks like 2002 Fuels are getting between $650-800 with the exception of a "team" bike (full XTR). $1200 sounds like a lot for a 2002 bike, even with a lot of upgrades. If the new stuff is in good condition, perhaps you can part it out and make out better?

Thanks for the in-sight Jisch. I would be willing to move some. Like I outlined, frame, wheels, drivetrain and brakes are all very near new. Around $500 worth of new parts, plus the frame that has almost no time on it. Great Bike! Make an offer. Steve
