Looking for a Shimano Rear DERAILLEUR (road) to work with an 8 -9 speed (12-26) cassette. I would like a 105 or better. What do you have and how much $ ?

Not sure if you're looking for old school 8spd specific - but for what it's worth a new nine speed derailluer should work just fine. You just limit the der. to accomodate your needs.

Yep, the spacing (cassette width and thus derail throw) is the same for 8/9/10 speed (which is why they all use the same freehub) so they will all work.

That said, the new 10spd junk bumped in price by a cool 2x over the 9spd.

I have a nice Ultegra FC-6500 rear derailleur you might be interested in. It is really nice actually - 11T pulleys and the like. I would send it if you want it. I have it up on Craig's list for $30 along with basically a whole Ultegra drivetrain. Shoot me a PM if interested.
