Hey Everyone, in case I missed you in the other thread
Pioneer Valley Chapter of NEMBA will be co-sponsoring an Earthday clean-up event at Wendell State Forest in Wendell, MA next Saturday-April 22!
We'll be doing small projects for the land manager Bryant Stewart and landscape clean-ups around Ruggles Pond and some trail clean-up/maintennance. This is an important goodwill event for NEMBA. Wendell and Ranger/trails coordinator Bryant Stewart has granted us an unbelievable amount of access and has backed, and hopefully will continue to back, extensive singletrack creation. Bryant is also the Trails coordinator for the region so a good showing at Wendell bodes well (dare I say essential) for future projects around the region.
I really hope to get a good turn out of volunteers for this event--even if you can only make part of the day-we'll be there from 8:30-4:00--any help and face-time is greatly appreciated.
I'll also be going over future trail work (the completion of the hannah swarton and the beginning of Bear Mountain trail building) after the workday--I'll even buy a beer for everyone at a local establishment after our Earth day work!
Bring a Bike-work a few hours and check out the Park!
So again, Earth Day clean-up at Wendell SF 8:30-4:00--anytime given is time we're grateful for!
Any questions-want more infor contact me:
