Being new to southern NH i wouldn't mind getting out and riding this weekend and learning about the area. I was thinking the woods may be a bit too muddy and i'd hate to tear up the trails, given the thaw.
Where is a cool place to ride on the road, a single speed. Are there any green belts or paved paths along a river or bay or anything like that, in nh or ma. i have no issues driving to do this. Again, being new to the area i'd just like to check out the sights!
I really appreicate all the help!
tia.

Here are a couple sites for ya. Ny favorit is Fort Rock and ROMBA, but they are both closed due to the mud season.

Alot of people will set up a ride in the ride board so others are able to go aswell. You can also keep an eye on the trail conditions section for keeping track of the dry spots. Keep an eye open for those posts. That way you can ride with a group that knows the area. What type of biking do you do? x-country, freeride, DH, are you a fast paced rider slower rider, like technical riding, single track, ect. We have trails for pretty much any riding style but if we knew how you ride we could give you alittle better ideas for spots that you might enjoy.

atkinson,
I don't mind driving....what do you have in mind?
Where are you located. I'll have to look at a map regardless of your response! :-\ Given how new i am to the area!

You've got some good stuff near you and around Hampstead...I don't know the area well enough to give directions, but I've been on some nice rides there. Happy hunting....

Hmm, you're under Sea Coast NH chapter jurisdiction. Sorry, I don't know that area well. I'm in Nashua, which is a good 50 min to the west. There are a couple of nice rail trails near here and a little further west & north, some scenic towns to pedal through.
Maybe you could check out the Sea Coast NH NEMBA web site, they may have trail info. Also, I have heard people say route 1A that runs along the coast through Seabrook, Rye and beyond is a very nice ride.
The good news is that when FOMBA and Ft Rock re-open, you're in a great location!
