I just saw "The Fog of War" on DVD last night. Its a documentary about Robert MacNamara - Secretary of Defense during the Kennedy and Johnson years (Vietnam, Bay of Pigs, Cuban Missile Crisis). Wow. What an insightful, intelligent guy. His no nonsense way of considering the politics of war were interesting, if a little cold and discompassionate. He reviews 8 "rules" of politics (i.e. "Rational people do irrational things" and "You must empathize with your enemy").
Interesting to find out that Castro had the warheads and had his finger on the trigger. We were close....
Anyway, I'll let you guys discuss whether such a human is anywhere near the Whitehouse now, but this movie is worth the time.
