(official announcement will follow this) plea for all volunteers interested in helping and or creating/leading all types of skills clinics--trailside repair, technical riding, huckster, PYT, bunnyhopper, tubeless tire installation, flat repair, GPS tracking, lose-the-training-wheels (for the littlest), derailleur adjustment, kids area supervision, you name it! The more clinics, the smaller the group and more hands-on........
If you're good at something share your knowledge and skills with a few people! You won't regret it......

And of course also we'll be in need of a few ride leaders/sweepers--again, you name the ride and the pace.

We'll
also need help with setup(8 am) and setting up of a food/hospitality area for volunteers, and take-down(3 pm)

Please let me know what you can do so we can get you on the schedule. Time commitment doesnt have to be much since you'll be there to ride, too!!

OK Jakazz I got you on the list--I'll let you know times when I finally get a schedule going, but a beginner skills ride would be real cool---on-trail adjustments whatever yoo want.

Hi Steve:

If it is not raining seriously, I will be willing to help out in set up and break down of the event. I can also assist Jakazz with the beginner ride if need be. I'll send you an actual e-mail with this reply also. That last rain left me wondering what this world is coming to.

;D I have gone to the last 3 or 4 blu hills events and every year it does not disapoint. This year was no exception the weather coperated, the led ride I went on with by steve cobble was absoloutly great. I am going back to do that hill later in the year when i am In a little better condition because he was not lying when he said the view was fantastic. Kudos to all who make it happen you all did a fantastic job. My special thank to the wheelie man gonna keep at it.

This event just keeps getting better! The expo area had a great flow to it, chock full of shops and new bikes to drool over......It was like a circus at one point with the one-wheeled-wonder hopping around, finally endo-ing, driving the wheeless fork straight into the ground, the unicycles with and without pedals, the drums courtesy of the Bike Express guys, who also, of course, had their latest in their long history of supermodified limbo-bikes.......I always have a good time meeting new riding buds, seeing old(er) ones, and watching all the kids grow up and ride bikes like we never could........Oh yeah, and yes, the cruise up Buck Hill was, as always, my favorite way to intro people to the 'Hills.. ;D
BIG thanks to all of the volunteers, and sponsors who helped make it the best ever! And of course, the DCR with their tireless rangers(well, some do use tires ::)), SEMASS NEMBA, Blue Hills Trail Watch, and Mr Joe Sloane, who's been organizing the event since it was just a twinkle in his eye over 10 years ago..........
