It was a fun ride today at HP, I enjoyed meeting you all. I'll try my best to make it to Dracut.

Norm this is the same meeting place as the ride prior to the meeting in November correct? I got directions from Mapquest and it all looks familiar. If for some reason I can't make it I will post here by 7 am.

To stud or not to stud? That is the question. Please advise. Thanks.

I'm planning to attend either way.

No studs necessary. Most of us didn't have them at Harold Parker today and we had no problem.

Well Dracut was basically snow free with firm dry trails. Got about 12 miles in today. Here's Kirk and James on one of the new trails.

After 3 or 4 attempts, Jean finally finished a ride at the Dracut state forest with no mechanicals or unexpected trip to the ER.
Nice weather, nice group, nice trails, equals nice weekend.

Rest stop. Looking over the edge of what I would call a cliff, but Norm said someone actually rode down it!

"Looking over the edge of what I would call a cliff, but Norm said someone actually rode down it! "

That would be SlapHeadmofo who rode down that wall.

Well it looks like "gnurider" may have won the Merlin frame for his trail day at the Dracut state forest :o He worked on last years 1 1/2 mile trail off of Gumpus Road where most of these photos were taken. It's good to know that the small chapters can produce the big results 8)

Well, 'rode' is in the eye of beholder, but I managed to stay with the bike anyway. ;) Stork actually rips thru there with a little style, unlike myself. I tried to make it Sat but it didn't work out; looked like another good ride.

Does gnu know yet that he won? That's awesome.

This is great, I take it from past posts that gnurider is one of our younger NEMBA members and will have many years to enjoy the rewards of his interest in improving our riding opportunities. I just wish there were more like him!

>:( boy am i pissed that I did not make it. This winter has not been very productive for me staying in shape. I will need all the headstarts I can manage. Will be there next time!

Good job on the new trail. The rock stuff is fun. I rode it the same day with a different group but saw you on the way out I almost hooked on the end but didn't want to push the first ride of the year. Nice pics I never remember to bring my camera on rides.
