I probably won't be able to make it, because I have damn work on sundays still.

We're still looking for a few trail work 'leaders' for next Sunday. Basically need to lead a riding group and occasionally stop to do some briar cutback and pick up fallen branches, etc. A trail saw and handloppers are what's mostly needed. Some trails can be 'leapfrogged' with a group to keep the pace going. We will need someone in each group with a cell phone so we can keep in touch with each other and with Steve Gammon, in case of the need for a chain saw.
Please get back to me if you can be there to help lead a group. Also, walking crew leaders will be needed, with the same objectives in mind.
Thanks!

Steve, I plan to be there, probably with my son and probably with bikes. I can lead a crew.
I can bring loppers and a saw if I can find the darn thing. ::)

Cool! It should be a great day to ride (and stop occasionally to trim and saw). Looks like we'll have enough for a few crews to cover most of the park. Don't worry if you cant find a saw, we should have plenty tools in the SEMASS trailer

Ours would be a slow riding crew. My son hasn't ridden much this year (like any) and I am just getting over a ski injury. But we will ride with smiles (and saws).

Much thanks to all who came out and braved that nice weather yesterday!! It was just about 32 degrees, just warm enough for a work day, and just cold enough that nobody sweat too much.......
We had 10 riders and (at least) 8 on foot, and two rangers with chainsaws for the big stuff.
Coffee, donuts, conversation, teamwork, fresh air, pizza, and the sense of accomplishment that comes from getting the job done.
Good stuff!
