Has anyone read FOMBA lately? Studded tires recommended still?

The weather looks like cold this week/weekend, but i figure that'll firm up the trials and i'm aching to get out into the woods again before the sad soggy spring.

Anyone up for a ride?

I might be up for Sunday Morning.

I am waiting on my LBS to get some 29er tubes in, if so the KM will be trail worthy!

I can't wait to get that thing out on the dirt.

The weather guessers are saying it is going to stay dry and cold through the weekend, so the trails should be in fine shape.

went to Fomba today 2/9/06 perfect conditions, a little ice on the roads but the trails are frozen dirt

....i guess i have to wait and see what the story is with this storm that we having heading out way Saturday night/Sunday. I'd still like to get out there, but i might have to wait :-[

I was there last night, conditions were great. No need for studs. Most of the single track trails are 99% ice free. Hemlock had some good sized sections of ice and the fire roads have ice, but you can ride along the edges.
