Looking for a used mtb, 18" frame, rigid all around, and I would pay up to $300.

Let me know what you got !

I have a frame and fork. Old school Yokota (pre-name change to Dirt research) and a rigid fork. It is marked as a 16.5" frame, but has a long top tube. If you have interest I can get a full set of measurements. I'll sell it for $45

Somewhat interested - Can you give me following:
- the year of manufacture ?
- how about a pix ?
- measurements would be great, min. length of top tube.
Thanks.

ok.....

pics will have to wait till I can get ahold of a camera, possibly tomorrow.

For measurements....

Top tube (center to center) - 22.5"
Eff Top Tube (Cen to Cen Horizontal) - 23"
Chainstay (Center BB to Center Axle) - 16.5"
Seat Tube ( Center BB to Top ) - 18" (their measurement is to the toptub, and the seattube extends up further.

The frame is made from Tange Infinity Cr-MO

As for year, I would have to guess about '90 or '91. Due to age it is only set up for Canti's or V's, no disc tabs. Fork and headtube are 1-1/8"

Anything else? :-)

Thanks for the info. Let me compare these numbers to my old ride. If they are similar I'll let you know, then a photo would be great. What area are you in for pick-up ?

Dude,
You live too far away for me. I'll keep you in mind if I make it out that way, but, right now I have no plans. I am in the Boston/Framingham area.

Dave:

I have an 16" mtb frame early 90's Haro Impulse Comp. Might let it go for $50 with parts. No fork, bars or pedals, and the frame could use touch-up. But you get my conti slicks, a new (2wk old) casette and chain.

I have ridden this on and off road for 10-15 years. The fork puked friday night and will require alot of $$ in upgrades just to replace the fork. If you have parts, this might work for you.

Sale depends if SWMBO lets me buy a new dedicated commuter bike or I find an fork for cantilever style brakes. I can deliver next time I am in Framingham.

Good luck.

Rob
